Rumorbusters II

You won't read about it, of course, in your local media-giant controlled newspaper. But then, the editors of that publication still don't seem to realize their coverage of New Albany is dictated by Senior Executive Editor "Slippery" Larry Kochert.

You won't read about it at SlanderBlog (soon to be trademarked), the "I'm like rubber, you're like glue" kindergarten of the little mind that continues to ooze "truthiness."

Read it here first: all contractual arrangements have been completed to implement residential garbage pickup beginning next Tuesday.

Yes, Eco-Tech and the City of New Albany have, as anyone with a scintilla of a brain knew they would, inked a contract for the next five years. You knew they would. But wasn't it fun for Ben Zion Hershberg to give his pet council members a last chance to slag the mayor?

Our correspondents are hard at work seeking comment from the parties and we'll share what we learn later today.

Gosh, I hope at-large council member Mark Seabrook didn't lose too much sleep worrying about this contract. We know how closely he's been monitoring it. So, Larry, Mark - ain't it cool to see your plan work out without being outed?

I'm really surprised that no one has voted the Kocherts of the local scene out of office solely out of boredom. The ennui of predictabilty is a heavy load to bear.
